Recently, the 60,000-ton polyoxymethylene project of Xinjiang Xinye Energy
Chemical Co., Ltd. broke ground in the East Industrial Park of Wujiaqu Economic
and Technological Development Zone.
Polyoxymethylene, as one of the five major engineering plastics, is widely used in the automotive, electronic and other fields, and is an ideal substitute for metal materials and other plastics. Since 2021, Xinye Energy and Chemical Company has been laying out the polyoxymethylene industry. The first phase of its 40,000-ton polyoxymethylene production facility was put into operation in July 2023, setting a record for the fastest construction and commissioning of similar facilities in China.
The second-phase project with an annual output of 60,000 tons of polyoxymethylene, which has started construction this time, is a key measure for Xinye Energy Chemical Company to build a modern coal chemical industry chain of high quality and promote the integration of military and local areas as well as green and low-carbon development. The project is scheduled to start trial operation with feedstock by the end of 2026. Once it reaches full production capacity, the annual total production capacity of polyoxymethylene products of Xinye Energy and Chemical Company will reach 100,000 tons, with an annual total output value exceeding 1 billion yuan, making it the polyoxymethylene production base with the largest production capacity, the lowest consumption and the best process in the northwest region.
